April has started off with a bang for me. I’m taking part in Camp NaNo this month on top of revising and editing the first book one of the first series I wrote. Found out while getting it ready to send to my crit partners the whole thing has to be rewritten. My plot(s) for the series seems to have disappeared along with my muses. Hopefully, April will be lot better to me than March was.
I’m not letting it bother me. I have to do what I have to do. The first series is mostly done. Maybe Camp NaNo will give me the boost I need to rededicate myself to my writing. I’m using it to start writing a new series I started about a month or two ago.
I’m juggling two projects during this time but that’s the way I like it. My goal is to have book one of the new series at least half-written by the end of April and have the first book of the other series at least started in rewrites.
I’m doing research on two other new writing projects that I hope to start soon. One is about fairies and the other is about a character with psychic abilities.
Also, I’m a winner of National Novel Editing Month that took place in March.
Sounds like you have a lot going on. Don’t worry about the muses; sometimes they need a break, but then come back full steam 🙂
I love to stay busy with my writing. I switch projects every once in a while so I don’t burn out on one particular story. I agree about the muses. I just hope they come back soon. 🙂
Go for a long walk in the sunshine, it always works for me. My muse always joins in!
I may just have to try that walk and see if it works. 🙂
Hi Dianne, I’m getting round a few more IWSG posts – Saturday evenings are great for that! You’ve been really busy this year already, and I hope you’ve found your muse by now!
Annalisa Crawford, One of April’s IWSG Co-Hosts
Hi Annalisa, thanks for stopping by. I’m happy to say my muse has returned and I’m writing again. 🙂
