IWSG

02a62-insecurewriterssupportgroup

This month has me trying to get back into the swing of writing again. Stepped away for a little while. Had a lot of personal things going on. It has been hard trying to get back into the writer frame of mind and back to my characters.

Writing wise I’m rewriting my first series which is a vampire series. Thank you to my two crit partners for all of your great suggestions and comments on the first book of the series.

Also, I’ve started researching and outlining a little on a new project that I’ll tell you about in a few weeks. Work on my second series which is my shape-shifter series is moving along as well.

Have a few things that need to be added to the blog. Hope to get around to those in the next few weeks. Will be updating and making some changes to blog as well.

Have a great day everyone. 🙂

Thanks again to Alex J. Cavanaugh  for hosting IWSG each month. The list of participants can be found here.

  1. It sounds as though you are getting back into writer mode well. Sometimes that break, whether enforced by outside issues or not, can be good, giving us fresh perspective. I hope all goes well.

    1. Yes, I am. I agree the break no matter why it happened was a good thing. I have a fresh new outlook on what I’m writing right now and the projects I’m planning. Have a great day. 🙂

  2. Getting back in the saddle can be a pain, but doesn’t it feel good? I bet it does.

I haven’t quite taken a break in a while, but a few weeks ago I started rewriting the first novel I ever wrote. Oh my goodness… I barely know those characters (and I’m terribly ashamed–and amused–by the mistakes I made years ago. But it’s fun, in an uncanny sort of way.

    Write on 😀

    1. It does feel good. I know what you mean. I did the same thing with a novel I had written a few years ago and had to laugh at some of the dialogue and other scenes and say to myself what was I thinking when I wrote this particular line at the time.

Good luck with your writing. 🙂
