Finding Esta

Finding Esta’ is the tumultuous tale of one extraordinary woman’s journey of self-discovery within a supernatural underworld.

Numerous psychic flaws have always cursed Luna, a fledgling journalist. All she wants is validation from abusive parents and intimacy without physical pain or mental anguish. But she is denied both.

She has just two friends, but they have one thing in common: They’re dead. One lives in Luna’s mind, like a house-share. The other kicks dark-shadow bootie in the Shadow Lands.

But when Luna’s investigation into the abduction of baby-Esta leads her to a clandestine supernatural community in Cornwall, her friends mysteriously vanish, and her sense of identity implodes as each incredible revelation steers her to a singularly mind-blowing question:

“What am I?”

Twenty-three years left in tatters at her feet, Luna’s mind further fractures beneath the weight of grief and truth, all obscured by an innate suspicion of everyone and everything.

Is Luna really being called by fate, by the power of the moon, by an alien species, and by a vampire who visits her dreams, to begin her destiny as the hybrid liberator of all Supes? Will Luna ever find her Shadows again? Will she feel the love of family she so desires? Will she possess strength enough to deal with unearthly creatures, chronic indecision, and a growing dissociation with everything she once believed? And in the end, will she find Esta or live long enough to share her story?

The answers to these questions may not be what you might think!

Finding Esta is an amazing tale. Shah Wharton is a great writer. This is the first book in the Supes series. I couldn’t put it down. The story had me hooked from the first page. We’re introduced to Luna and her story and what a tale it is. It’s not your typical paranormal story. If you’re looking a great book with twists and turns that will stop you from putting it down until you finish then this is the one for you. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.

In short, I love to read and to write. I enjoy lurking within the creepy folds of my imagination, and exploring the imaginary worlds of others. Movies and theatre are also hugely enjoyable for this reason.

We also have a dog called Bobby – A big, bounding German Shepherd who is going to grow to an enormous stature – his paws are almost as big as my husbands hands!. After only a few months, he filled our lives with furry fun-times, and blossomed in our hearts.

My husband and I also enjoy travel, visiting our family in UK because we live in Dubai for his work, and damn good food. Oh, and I can’t forget my love for exceptional tea, coffee and wine. 😀
