This is my first year participating in the A to Z Challenge. The list of participants can be found here. Thanks to Arlee Bird and the co-hosts for hosting this awesome challenge. Check out the site here.
I’m also participating in a mini-hop that got started on theme reveal day when a few of us realized we had similar themes. It’s called Supernatural A to Z. Click below to check out the list of participants. 🙂
Dragons are the creature of the day. They are depicted as animals with reptilian or serpentine traits. The dragon is featured in many cultures. The main ones are the European dragons (European Folklore, Greek and Middle Eastern mythologies), and the Chinese dragon with counterparts in Japan (Japanese dragon), Korea and other East Asian countries. Dragons are one of the few supernatural creatures I like. I’ve always been fascinated by the mystery of them.
They are featured in movies such as The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
Books Like The Harry Potter Series, and A Song of Ice and Fire (Game Of Thrones)
Finally, there is the game Dungeons and Dragons.
And I spent many, many hours playing D&D.
Never played it but have friends who did.
I love dragons. Good ones, bad ones and wild ones, I find them majestic.

Love Dragons, but have never played the game. My son had an imaginary Dragon called Max, I gave him Max as a protector during the night – Max helped keep the other monsters away!
Never played it either. Got to love the imagination that kids have. 🙂
loved smaug in the cartoon version of the hobbit. i cannot wait to see hobbit pt 2. i want to see him in cgi!
I know. I can’t wait to see it either. From what I understand it’s great. 🙂
Saw it last night! Oh my giddy gosh! Spectacular! The voice! Dark deep dangerous. Perfect!
Got my copy of it yesterday. Will be watching it this weekend.
Smaug is an awesome dragon, as are the ones in Game of Thrones, too! I used to love the dragon in Ivor the Engine, but you’re too young to remember that. 😉
Dragons are awesome. Can’t wait to see Hobbit part 2. Love Smaug. 🙂
I’m such a geek. Ask me anything about dragons, ANYTHING, and I can totally tell you the answer. I tend to shun my high fantasy roots because they’re a little too red. (You know, the same color hair as every fantasy heroine EVER.) 😉
Hi Crystal,
Dragons are great. I’m the same way about the show Supernatural. I can tell you in most cases the episode title, etc. and that’s with almost 195 episodes done. 🙂
A friend of mine used to name all her gadgets with dragon names from Middle Earth. I’m doing the A to Z challenge as well but I don’t have a theme http://sukanyaramanujan.wordpress.com/
Wow. That’s cool. I love Lord of the Rings. 🙂
My favourite dragon will always be Mr. Dragon from the classic Mac game The Manhole. It’s just not the same in the modern, updated colour version. Mr. Dragon, and the other characters, lost a lot of their charm, whimsy, and surrealism.
Cool. Never heard of that one. I feel the same way about some of the games I used to play that have been updated. 🙂
There is something so ominous about a dragon, isn’t there?
Yes, there is. I think that’s why I like them so much.:)
I love me some dragons! And, I love me some D&D 🙂
I love them, too. Never played it.
I’ve always been fascinated by how vastly different cultures, from Norway to Japan, could have such familiar myths and archetypes.
That’s so true. There is tons of lore on dragons. It was hard to choose what to put in the post and what to leave out. 🙂
Dragons are such cool fantasy creatures. They can be frightening and deadly or catlike and playful. Dragons make awesome stories even better.
That’s true. My next book may have to involve dragons. 🙂
Hello there. This is also my first time taking part in the challenge. I took a peek at the signup list and almost fainted when I saw the huge number of blogs I had to visit! Anyway, just stopping by to wish you all the best with the challenge.

Hi,
Thanks for stopping by. Good luck to you as well. 🙂
Dragons is one of my sons favorite animals.
Thanks for stopping by. Dragons are awesome. 🙂
I LOVE Daenerys’ dragons in Game of Thrones

Dragons are wonderful – I love dragons. Some dragons are vicious beasts and some are educated and wise protectors and there are so many ways they can be used in stories. I used them in my last novel Cat’s Confidence because they are so much fun. They are simply brilliant creatures.

Dragons are great. I have a copy of Cat’s Confidence. Haven’t gotten to read it yet.:)
I have an idea brewing for a future project that may have to involve dragons as well as elves. 🙂
I repeat the oft repeated sentiment: I LOVE DRAGONS!
I love them too. 🙂 They are so cool.
