This is my first year participating in the A to Z Challenge. The list of participants can be found here. Thanks to Arlee Bird and the co-hosts for hosting this awesome challenge. Check out the site here.
I’m also participating in a mini-hop that got started on theme reveal day when a few of us realized we had similar themes. It’s called Supernatural A to Z. Click below to check out the list of participants. 🙂
Xing Tian is from Chinese mythology. Xing Tian is a headless creature. The xing tian was known to have fought against supreme divinity. Although the creature was beheaded he continued to fight. More info here.
I’m sorry to be irreverent, but when you mentioned he continued to fight after he was beheaded, Immediately thought ‘it’s just a flesh wound!’ and the black knight from Monty Python’s Holy Grail. ;P

I found that part very interesting. This particular one has been the most unique so far. The others I had heard of. This one was a totally new to me. 🙂
Their version of the headless horseman.
Definitely.
I love the Xing Tian. So stubborn it kept fighting with no head!

It was definitely an interesting one to research.
I know quite a bit about Greek and Roman mythology, but not Chinese. So Xing Tian is new to me! (And a great choice for the letter X!)

Hi Rachel,
Thanks. It was new to me as well.
That’s one hardy creature to continue fighting without a head.
