The city of Dale is located to the south of the lonely mountain. It was on the River Running between Erebor and the Long Lake. The city was burned when the dragon attacked Erebor leaving a shell of what once was a thriving city. The people fled to Laketown.

Dori is one of the thirteen dwarves to go on a quest to take back Erebor (the lonely mountain). His two brothers Nori and Ori went with him. He and his brothers are distant relatives to Thorin.

Dwalin is younger brother to Balin. Both of them went on the quest to reclaim Erebor from the dragon. He was born after Smaug took Erebor. He was raised Ered Luin. He was one of the last remaining members of Thorin’s Company to still be in Erebor when Frodo Baggins went on his own little journey. Some of the others had either died in the battle of the five armies or later in other locations while fighting.

One of the only saving graces of The Hobbit films (yes, I know, hush my mouth), were the characters of the dwarves. I thought they did a good job there ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, they did. The characters of the dwarves were kind of what pulled me into watching the movies. I do love Bilbo too though. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have to admit, I still can’t remember which dwarf is which ๐Ÿ™‚ I even bought the annual so I could try and remember, but I get as far as Thorin, Kili and Fili …

Thorin, Fili, and Kili are my faves as far as the dwarves go. There’s Thorin, FIli, Kili, Balin, Dwalin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Bombur, Bifur, Bofur, Gloin, and Oin. ๐Ÿ™‚

It is easy to do. The story is great. It took me a couple of months to get who everyone was other than Thorin, Fili, and Kili. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, keeping all those dwarves straight is quite tricky. But Thorin is great!

Kili and Thorin are my two favorite dwarves.

Bard is my favorite human. I liked him in Dracula untold.

Bard is great. I haven’t seen Dracula untold. Will have to add it to my list. ๐Ÿ™‚

I loved LOTR, but still have yet to see The Hobbit movies. I guess I should get on that. Maybe it will help me keep the dwarves sorted in my head! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Hobbit movies are good. Watching the movies and getting some of the books and one of the posters helped me to learn and keep the dwarves sorted out ๐Ÿ™‚
