#AtoZChallenge: Isengard, Isildur

I (1)

Isengard was one of the greatest places of Middle-Earth during the Third Age. It was located in the valley of Nan Curunír.  The huge rock wall was called the Ring of Isengard.  Saruman occupied Isengard and was loyal to Sauron. After the war the rock wall was torn down and transformed into a garden. The tower of Orthanc was placed back into the protection of the king of Gondor.

Isildur was a king of Gondor near the end of the Second Age into the first part of the Third Age. He was one of the sons of Elendil the Tall. He is also known for having gained possession of the one ring and then not destroying it when he had the chance. He was killed by Orcs a few years later.  His descendant Aragorn went on to reclaim Gondor after the war of the ring as it was called.

Look forward to reading your comments. 🙂
