Hobbit Movie Update

Fathom events now has info up on their site about it and the trailer is below. Most markets I believe have the start time for each of them being 7:30 pm. I haven’t gotten my tickets yet but will soon. Looks like some good footage was added back into the final movie.

Also, the extended edition blu-ray/dvd of The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies is slated to be released on Nov. 17th in the US and for those who like digital copies it is slated to be released on Oct.17th.

This is a tenative schedule as theaters are still signing on to show the movies.

A Cool Tolkien Site and an Apology…

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that the google form link has been fixed. So sorry about that. Didn’t know it was broken. 😦

Now onto the other reason for this little interruption. I found really cool site a couple of weeks called Mythgard Institute.  It has classes you can sign up (you have to pay for them), and there are also other things on there that are free to view and listen to. I started watching the videos the teacher put up that talks about Lord of The Rings. There are also videos discussing The Hobbit and other Tolkien items.  There is a section about Lord of The Rings Online as well. They have a kinship on one of the servers on LOTRO and post videos about the game.  There is a youtube series that has started up recently called Middle-earth lore. Players in the game are telling the story of different places in Middle-earth. They tell the story by taking you on a tour in the game. Here is the first video.

#IWSG: Good and Bad news

Thanks to Alex for hosting this each month. Here is the complete list of participants.

Well, I didn’t win Camp Nano but that’s okay. I did work on the epic fantasy.  Some edits got done on the first book of the vampire series. Started putting together a media kit for the first time. It has been fun doing that. The first media kit will be for the new short story anthology getting ready to publish. We have a tentative publication date of September 1st. If it changes I’ll let everyone know. I will post all the important info (links, etc) when it gets closer to time.

The only bad thing that happened was I decided to scrape a project because of the plot. I may pick it back up at a later date but right now just wasn’t feeling it. That happens sometimes though. On to bigger and better projects.

That’s it for this one. Look forward to your comments. 🙂
