Forsaken Times(New game & book series)

I wanted to introduce everyone to the world of Forsaken Times (title may likely change). Suggestions welcome. 🙂 Things like maps will be in later posts.

The plan is to have a  Fantasy based game that is MMORPG. There will be novels/short stories to go along with it as well as some other neat items that I’m thinking about doing. The plot/basis of the books and having them tied to the game is one of Lord of The Rings meets The Hunger Games. There will be an arena (labyrinth) located in one of the kingdoms and the contestants have different things that they have to do to be able to move on. There will be some not so nice characters along the way trying to stop them from reaching their goal.

So, here are some of the possible locations in the world:

Indria- This will be the name of the world

Ertunland- One of the kingdoms/regions in Indria

Apa- Another kingdom/region

Eniway- A kingdom/region

Irrioway- This will be a deserted or not so deserted kingdom where the evil creatures have taken up residence.

There will be other kingdoms/regions added as I go. These are just some of the ones that I’ve been working on so far. 🙂

Let me know what you think and feel free to make suggestions. 🙂

More posts next week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Be safe out there.

Writing and Game Updates

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and give you updates on the writing and the game. NaNo has been going pretty good. I’m at around 35k right now and I’m not ready to give up yet. The game is starting to come together as far as the outlines and such. I had planned to start posting about the writing and game last week with pics and other updates. Unfortunately the programs I use to design my characters and world maps decided to misbehave and I now have them fixed. So, I’ll be working on those posts this weekend.

Here is a list of some of the posts for the game/writing:

  1. The world- this one will be about the locations of the world I’m creating.
  2. The people- the races being included
  3. The characters-main/minor
  4. The plot/backstory- for both the game and books
  5. Timelines
  6. Weapons
  7. Transportation

The above are just some of the topics I’m thinking about creating for everyone. I look forward to keeping you all updated on this journey I’m about to embark on with this particular project. 🙂

More starting next week. 🙂

Cool new web series and a update

Hi everyone,

Gave the blog a new look yesterday. I’m working on posts for a few ideas I’ve had expect those in the next few weeks. Checked out my camera to make sure it recorded and didn’t have much background noise. Will be recording some videos in the next few weeks as well to share on here. Working on edits and writing a new story have kept me busy.

Found a cool new webs series the other day. It’s called AFK: The Webseries. Here’s the first episode. It’s about a group of gamers that are transported into a game. I’ve subscribed to it and wanted to share it with everyone.

#IWSG: NaNo and my writing projects…

Thanks to Alex and co-hosts: Tyrean MartinsonKaren WalkerDenise Covey, and Stephen Tremp

October didn’t start off the way I would’ve liked but we can’t help what happens sometimes. Have a few short stories that I’m writing as well as editing/revising my vampire series and working on the new Fantasy story. Doing research for it has been interesting. I’m outlining a few ideas that I’ll talk about soon. One of them is that I’m thinking about using the Fantasy series as the backdrop for the Fantasy game I want to create. Posting video updates is something else I’m thinking about as well. Will talk about these more in a later post.

November has started and NaNo is here. I’m using NaNo to write a FanFic story based on The Hobbit/LOTR. I have original characters as well as characters from the movies in it. I decided to make NaNo as stress free as possible this year because of all the other writing I do everyday on my more original stories. 🙂
One thing I’ve done is come up with my theme for the A to Z challenge next year. Now all I need to do is start working on the posts so they are ready. Have shelved a couple of projects because the story idea wasn’t going anywhere after the first couple of chapters. That’s it for now. Look forward to your comments.
