This is an introduction to Raven. She is the main character in the story I’m working on right now which is Town Curse but the title will be changing as the story has changed and evolved into something new. I wanted to do this so you could learn a little about her as I share snippets and other details about the story in the coming months. Enjoy.

What is your name?

Raven Thornwick

Where do you call home?

Forest Grove, a small town in the South. I would rather not say what state at this time to protect its location.

How close are you to your family?

I like to think we are as close as any family could be. We might be a lot closer to each other than most because we are a family of witches and warlocks. My aunt would be the exception because no one in the family wants to have anything to do with her because of something she did when I was younger.

Do you have any siblings? If so, what are they like?

No siblings. Not that my parents didn’t want more but it just didn’t work out.

Do you have any scars? How did you get them?

Only one scar. It’s on my right leg. I got it fighting with another kid when I was about 10 or 11 years old.

Where do you go when you’re angry or depressed?

I like to go to the woods near my house and walk the paths there for hours to cool off and to think.

What annoys you more than anything else?

People who lie and I can tell when someone is lying to me.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

At home with my parents as my teachers. They have taught me how to use the skills and abilities I have.

Tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities.

I have always been aware of my abilities and skills. I was born into a family of witches and warlocks. I will let you in on a little secret about me. I’m more powerful than even my parents and my aunt who is a dark witch. I can control all 4 elements and have some other abilities like telekinesis among others that I won’t go into here because the list would be very long. My parents worry about me and my aunt wants to control me.

Do you have any magical items? Where did you get them?

I have a family spell book that is very old. It was handed down to me by my mother. There are other items as well, but I can’t reveal everything can I. What fun would that be if you learned everything now.
