Thanks to Alex for hosting this each month. Here is the complete list of participants.
Raven’s Fate is the new title for the story and it is moving along nicely. I love the changes I’m making to it. I’m participating in Camp NaNo and using it to finish the edits/revisions to the story so I can get my thesis turned in before the deadline.
I’m auditing a class on Tolkien this summer which has been so much fun and attended virtually a conference at the end of June called Mythmoot which is held every year and brings together people who love Tolkien and fantasy to hear panels on topics like dragons and even gaming.
I start an online class in August that is about video game writing. I’ve always wanted to write for video games so this is going to be a fun class for me.
That’s it for now. Look forward to your comments. 🙂
How awesome for you to take classes and continue learning, Diane. I’m thinking of taking a class at the university where I work next year. Congratulations on coming up with a title! I often struggle with titles.
Thanks. Coming up with titles isn’t easy. This one changed several times over the past few months. Good luck with your class if you choose to take it next year.
Since I am on a roll with my current manuscript, I should do Camp NaNo as well. Good luck to you!
Hi Alex, thanks. Good luck to you as well.
The Tolkien class sounds fascinating!
It is. I plan to take a few more about him when I get the chance in the future. As a future writing teacher I hope to teach classes where we analyze his works and how they have impacted writing especially fantasy.
