#IWSG: Goals and Ideas for 2022

Insecure Writers Support Group Badge

Thanks to Alex for hosting this each month. Here is the complete list of participants.

Hi everyone,

I can’t believe 2022 is almost here. My writing goals for 2021 have been met for the most part. I did have to drop out of a couple things and that is okay. I finished my MA in English. I published several stories with one more to be released at the end of the year. More stories to come in 2022. I’m booked for writing stories through at least 2027 with my own individual ones and the sets I’m involved in. So, there will be a lot of stories for you to be kept updated on.

I do plan to update several pages on here over the next few weeks with covers and such for the ones that have been released and update you on what 2022 holds for me as far as the writing goes. One of the posts for later in December will include a list of the stories I’m working on for 2022 or least the ones I can tell you about right now. I have turned in my first column for the magazine I’m writing for. I will share the link when the column goes live which should be in the next few weeks. I’m also thinking about creating a serial for the site and possibly do some serials for kindle vella. Will keep you posted on those two possible ideas. I also need to update my landing page for the newsletter as I’m going to set up one of my older stories as a reader magnet for it.

That’s it for now. Can’t wait to hear from you. šŸ™‚

    1. Hi Alex, I didn’t believe it myself until I sat down and updated my tracking spreadsheet of due dates. I realized then that I was booked for the next five years. It’s going to be an adventure. šŸ™‚

  1. Booked up til 2027? That’s kind of head spinning for me, I can’t think that far ahead. Good to be busy though. And it sounds like you’re being creative and trying different things, which is what a writer needs to do.

I know a good biz plan includes 1-, 5-, and 10-year plans. I’ve gotten as far as a 1-year plan. Then Life intrudes and plans get shot to heck. Now, I wing it. Good for you planning out that far ahead.

    1. Hi Diane, thank you. I hope it stays on track but we all know how life can be so I’m learning to go with the flow of things but having it already planned out with deadlines does help making going with the flow easier. šŸ™‚
