DEBT

By Rachel Dunning

Expected Release Date:

March 2016

What’s it about?

The Debt Collector

I pay my debts, and I expect others to.

I was raised in the slums of London, I knew nothing of privilege. My father was murdered when I was seventeen. Morty figured my father’s passing meant I would automatically take on dad’s debts. I refused.

And I paid for that refusal.

So did my sister.

So now I fight. All I know how to do is fight. The best cash is in the states, so that’s where I am now. A big fish called Vito came along offering me a “favor” when I arrived.

Another debt.

I paid for that one too.

I knew Kyla Hensley would be trouble when I met her. But I wanted her. I could see through the falsehood of her wannabe-slutty clothes and her sexy legs. So I chased her.

Besides, trouble is my middle name.

Kyla Hensley

I was brought up in privilege, but I lacked everything else. My father is a business tycoon who buys and sells and doesn’t care who gets rolled over in the process.

I never knew my mother, and all I have of her is a photo with a note scrawled on the back in French saying “I’m sorry.” The only Female Figure I had growing up is my dad’s wife who is a bleach blond with seven boob jobs. We never bonded.

I drink. I party. I meet guys.

But I wasn’t always like that.

I’ve had a string of lovers in the last few years, the worst and most recent of which was Vince Somerset. My best friend Vera was dating a guy called Rory Cansoom who is the opposite of Vince in so many ways, and yet so the same.

She and I hit the road for the summer, getting away from the two college psychos and just trying to have some fun.

But there’s a funny thing about trouble, the more you run from it, the more it finds you.

Which is when I met the Debt Collector.

It was only supposed to be sex. He made that clear. I made that clear.

That’s all it was supposed to be.

I never expected to fall in love. I never expected to fall so deeply, madly, uncomfortably in love with a man who is wrong, so wrong for me.

And yet…so unbelievably right.

My cast of characters

I love being a writer because I get to create all kinds of awesome characters and tell their stories. I thought I would introduce all of you to my characters today. Enjoy.

Blood and Water(Vampire Series):

  • Cody Lyons appears to be a 20 year old but he is 200 years old. He has blond hair, green eyes, and is 5 feet 11 inches tall. He has a scar on his left arm from a fight with a rogue vampire.

  • Angelynn Lyons appears to be a 30 year old but she is 210 years old. She is Cody’s older sister. She has blond hair, green eyes, and is 5 feet 9 inches tall.

  • Bryce Davis appears to be a 30 year old but is 210 years old. He is Angelynn’s mate. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and is 6 feet tall.

  • Erik Morse appears to be a 35 year old but is over 200 years old. He was at one time with Angelynn and she left him for Bryce. He has black hair, hazel eyes, and is 6 feet tall.

  • Elizabeth Morse appears to be a 20 year old but is over 200 years old. She has brown hair, hazel eyes, and is 5 feet 7 inches tall. She is Erik’s sister and is in love Cody.

Fur and Fang(ShapeShifter Series):

  • Kaden-Scott Barnes is 20 years old. He is the oldest of the Barnes siblings. He has a twin brother. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 6 feet tall. He has a scar on his right arm and leg from a rogue wolf fight.

  • Konner Barnes is 20 years old. He is Kaden’s twin. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 6 feet tall.

  • Kynzey Barnes is 18 years old. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 5 feet 9 inches tall. She is the oldest daughter and third child.

  • Kendell Barnes is 16 years old. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 5 feet 5 inches tall. She is the youngest child.

  • Jayson Barnes is 45 years old. He is their father and the alpha of their pack. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 6 feet 3 inches tall.

  • Hayleigh Barnes is 40 years old. She is their mother. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is 5 feet 10 inches tall.

* The reason all the children have names starting with K is that it is their mother’s favorite letter.

Forsaken Worlds (Fantasy Series):

  • Aleesia is an elf captain in the King’s guard. She is hundreds of years old. She has black hair, blue eyes, and is over 6 feet tall. She is the original main character of the poem I posted on here. I changed it back to her name and have published it. The poem can be considered a small look into her life. I’m going to tell her story through short stories and novels.

New Release: The Loss

Hi everyone,

I decided to change the main character’s name in the poem I posted on here back to the original one and publish it. It went live today on Createspace. Amazon and Kindle to follow. Will update with those links when I get them. I plan to use the character in the upcoming Fantasy series/game I’m working on. So I guess you could call it a preview of her story. 🙂
