IWSG

Thanks to Alex for hosting this each month. Here is the complete list of participants.

Wow, time flies. Can’t believe this is the last one for the year. Things are going good for me. Working on a lot of different projects. Survived NaNo. Have at least part of the first book of a new series started thanks to participating again this year. Will start editing my vampire series Blood and Water soon. That will happen after I have at least the first book of the new one done and the outlines for the next couple of books in it done.

The not so positive things that have happened are I had to shelve a project because it just wouldn’t flow. I hope to pick it back up soon. The characters I sketched out for it are ones that I want to use for it. I think I just need to rework the plot for it. Will keep everyone posted.

Also, here is the review request link Β for everyone to share:Β https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vNTwDmDdz47SiE6SVW4T14B6X0eOql3hz-z-TX7qme8/viewform

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday. May 2014 be successful for you in your writing and other areas of your lives. πŸ™‚

  1. Congrats on surviving NaNo! You caught my interest with your vampire series. I love vampires. πŸ˜€

So nice to meet you through the IWSG. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a great 2014.

    1. Hi Julie,
Nice to meet you as well. Thanks. I didn’t think I was going to finish and win but I did. πŸ™‚

I love vampires too. The very first book I read was Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice and I was hooked. πŸ™‚

I’ll either post snippets here or on wattpad not sure yet of the series as I go.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season and great 2014 as well.

  2. Hi there, you should be so proud of yourself for surviving NaNo, I’ve never been brave enough to try it. Don’t worry about shelving the project, there’s always a chance to pick it up later. Just keep going and don’t forget to give yourself a break, especially after NaNo. Good luck with the editing!

    1. Hi LM,
Thanks. It’s definitely an undertaking. True about the project. I will definitely be picking it back up. I’m taking a break for a few days and getting things in place to edit and work on other projects. Thanks, the editing is the hardest part of it.

    1. Hi Suzanne,
Thanks. My life got hectic toward the end. Luckily, I had written the majority of it before it did so I didn’t have a big daily word count to keep up with.

Good luck with your writing in 2014. πŸ™‚

  3. Congrats on surviving Nano! It’s hard to shelve a project, but I’m learning that some characters and plots need to percolate longer than others. I’ve had a YA that’s been worked on and then shelved several times over the last two years. In between I worked on other things, but now. Now I’m getting excited because I’ve finally figured out what the problem was in the YA story. That means 2014 will start off with a renewed motivation to finish it.

Good luck with all your projects and may you find the answers you seek!

    1. Thanks. So true. I hope to work out the issues with it soon. I think I know what the problem with the story is but I’m stepping back and thinking about it for a while to make sure it’s not something else.

Good luck to you as well. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you. So true. This one has been giving me trouble since I started writing it that’s one reason I didn’t use it for NaNo this year was just so frustrated with it. Worked on a new project instead. Good luck with your writing. πŸ™‚
